Why do some of us blame our parents for the lack of success or where we are currently in life? The truth is, your parents taught you the best they knew how, you applied the tools and made your own decisions, some were right and others were wrong. Holding that against the people who gave you life is unfortunate. When you’ve become a certain age you are held accountable for the decisions you make in life. I think it’s unfair to treat them a certain way because you cannot take accountability. Bringing up their past and bashing them isn’t going to solve the problem. In my opinion, life will only get harder if you continue to head down that road. Reacting out of emotions and not communicating the problem will always end in disappointment. Theres no manual on being a good mom or dad, appreciate your parents because you only get one set.
